Happy Thanksgiving!

What? How Can It Already Be Thanksgiving? What Happened to Summer?

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I’m looking forward to a visit with family, a great meal, maybe a nap or two, and then a kick off preparations for Christmas – always a favorite time of year. I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving. While we are celebrating, let’s be mindful of our friends whose celebrations will be more subdued this year because of health issues and loss.

Also, let’s be sure to remember those in our community who need a little help through the year and during the holidays, and find our link (I will update this when I find it) to donate to Helping Hands of Paulding County. You can drop by with a gift of non-perishable food, but we have found that monetary donations go much farther when Helping Hands goes to the Atlanta Food Bank to buy at a much better deal than we can get at our local grocer.

Finally, a big word of thanks to Troy for his excellent work on the SCARS website. He’s put many hours into building the site in WordPress, moving it to our web host, and beginning the never ending chore of updating all of the content. Work on the content will continue, but with this new design and tool set it’s much easier to add and update content. Take a look around and tell us what you think. You will see pages that are still “under construction”, but those should go away soon.

Thanks, Troy! Great job!
