Interest in amateur radio digital communications has grown rapidly with the proliferation of personal computers. Digital modes offer many advantages over phone such as low transmit power, operations with minimal antenna, and improved contact reliability during times of poor propagation. Many of these traits are highly desirable during emergency communications.  Our members are active with many of these digital modes and will gladly help you jump into digital amateur radio communications.

D-Star (Digital Smart Technologies for Amateur Radio)

New D-STAR users can register their callsign by going to https://regist.dstargateway.org/Dstar.do and follow the instructions. Once the initial information is entered and the registration is approved, the user will receive an email with additional instructions.
